Established in 2000, the National University of Kaohsiung (NUK) is a public national university located in the Nanzih District of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Despite being a relatively young institution, it has established a prominent presence as one of the leading national universities in Southern Taiwan.
NUK was founded with the mission of enhancing higher education in the southern region and promoting local industry. Today, it serves as a hub for active research in the fields of environment, energy, and urban design.
The expansive campus is surrounded by nature and is famously known as the "Forest University Without Walls," characterized by its lush, green spaces that offer an ideal environment for learning and campus life.
The university is also deeply committed to internationalization, offering robust exchange programs, comprehensive support for international students, and a variety of courses conducted in English.
